How long is a saliva drug test kit valid for, and how should it be stored?

Kits should be stored at room temperature (typically 2–30°C depending on the manufacturer) in their sealed original packaging, kept out of direct sunlight, and away from moisture. Can a saliva drug test be used to test for alcohol?

How do you collect a saliva sample correctly?

Are saliva drug tests suitable for legal proceedings or dismissals?

For legally defensible results, a positive rapid screen result should be confirmed by a UKAS-accredited laboratory using confirmatory analysis such as LC-MS or GC-MS.
