What’s in the Kit
Each kit is carefully curated to include all necessary components for seamless testing:
· Test cassettes
· Sterile swabs
· Extraction tubes with buffer and tips
· Workstations
· Package inserts
· Buffer for WB/S/P (Whole Blood/Serum/Plasma) specimens
· Droppers/Capillary tubes for WB/S/P specimens
Test Procedure
Before testing, make sure that the test cassette, the specimen, the buffer and/or control are at room temperature (15-30°C).
- Preparation:
· Remove the test cassette from its sealed pouch. Use within one hour for optimal results.
· Place the device on a clean, level surface.
- Specimen Handling:
For Serum or Plasma Specimens: Add 1 drop (approx. 30 μL) of specimen to the well (S), followed by 1 drop of buffer (approx. 40 μL).
For Whole Blood Specimens: Add 2 drops (approx. 60 μL) of specimen to the well (S), followed by 1 drop of buffer (approx. 40 μL).
For Throat Swab Specimens: Add 3 drops (approx. 80 μL) of test sample solution to the well.
- Reading Results:
· Results can be interpreted at 15 minutes. Do not interpret results after 20 minutes.
Interpretation of Results
1. Negative: A single line appears in the control region (C), indicating no detection of the virus.
2. Positive: Two lines appear – one in the control region (C) and one in the test region (T) – Indicating the presence of monkeypox antigens.
1. Invalid: If no control line (C) is visible, the result is invalid. Retest with a new device, ensuring proper procedure is followed.
